jamie lewis
Jamie Lewis launched One Step Capital to assist asset management industry founders in growing and strengthening their businesses, one step at a time.
Jamie’s experience as an investment banker, investor and fundraiser for both funds and family offices spans nearly three decades and thirty countries. She operates with an entrepreneur’s mentality and delivers institutional quality results. Known for her integrity and passion for setting and executing ambitious goals, Jamie has cultivated a vast network of relationships ideally suited to partner with best-in-class asset management firms.
Jamie began her career as an investment banker with Deutsche Bank, in which she pitched, structured, and executed over $68 billion in combined debt, equity, M&A and restructuring transactions for leading corporate and private equity firms in the industrial, financial services, and consumer goods sectors. From there, she was recruited to direct investing (public and private), fundraising, investor relations, marketing, and business development roles at pedigreed hedge funds including Inherent Group, Blockhouse Capital, GMT Capital, Richmond Hill, and CastleRock Asset Management.
In addition to her MBA from Columbia Business School, Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Spanish from DePauw University. Originally from the Midwestern United States, she has lived in Manhattan and London and currently resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. She is a classically trained pianist, active club tennis player and retired amateur boxer (“ONE STEP, one punch, one round at a time” - just ask, it’s quite the conversation starter!).
